And he really didn’t do anything spectacular to win her back. He was a huge a**hole about the whole thing. I lost some respect for Hudson with how he handled Alayna finding out his secret. I wasn’t all that excited about the resolution after the big secret reveal. If this is the end of the series, then I am content.
The writing was good and the drama was full force, which is my favy. I enjoyed the plot and the side characters. Alayna was one strong wench for sticking to her guns, not letting Hudson get away with evasion and non-answers. How she could ever trust him again, I don’t know, but that’s why I love them. His past is his past, even if it sometimes leaks into the present. But I knew Hudson wasn’t the same guy as the one who first met Alayna. He really has nothing to hide anymore, because nothing could be as bad as what he did to Alayna. I feel relieved to finally know all of Hudson’s secrets. But that’s life, and that’s what kept this book going. It’s hard to see two people so in love and then so easily fall apart because of past deeds.
It effing broke my heart when everything was revealed. That is until Alayna finally learns about Hudson’s secret, and boy was it a doozy. The things trying to pull them apart have faded into the background. How could a known obsessive stalker and a man who plays games with women and leaves them broken find each other and actually be happy? I don’t have a clue, but Paige found a way.Īlayna and Hudson are finally happy in their relationship. I really do love Alayna and Hudson, even if they do drive me crazy. Though I am not completely okay with how things went down in the end, I will always love Alayna and Hudson for their flaws and their love. Even though she found the only man who could fix her, a forever with Hudson seems more and more. As much as she feels for him, her ability to forgive and forget is tested beyond her limits. Promises that were made are broken, and Alayna learns that Hudson still has very potent secrets–secrets that will tear them both apart. But while the pair is focused on the future, their past shows up again to threaten their fragile bond. Alayna, in particular, has grown through their trials, and has emerged more confident and faithful to the man she loves. It won’t be easy for the scarred lovers, but they’re committed to each other more now than ever. They decide that the only way they can move forward together is with open doors and transparency. Alayna Withers relationship with Hudson Pierce has tested both her and his ability to trust.
