

I needed to vent about this book and none of my friends read comics. Is anyone else as enthralled with this book as I am? I know we're only three issues in, but if Lemire's past work is anything to judge him by, you know it's going to be a cool-ass ride. When my Wednesday's are filled with books I enjoy but are slogging through the same tropes again and again, it's such a relief to see that there are still books that get me so amped about comics. His creative use of the comic book medium was refreshing and fun. This was one of the coolest individual comic reading experiences since the symmetrical Watchmen issue and The Unwritten's choose-your-own adventure issue. The art (still that signature Lemire shitawesome). Sweet Tooth was such a heart wrenching and raw story, I didn't know how he could top it. The penultimate issue of Vertigos acclaimed sci-fi epic is here, and Nika and William are out of time-literally The last love story ever told nears its. Everything that man touches turns to gold. Animal Man and Green Arrow (to a lesser extent because he doesn't draw them).
